Security and privacy overview

  • Every workspace is isolated at the database level; access is enforced per row, not only in the interface.
  • Company data is private by default. Nothing is shared with an investor, partner or employee unless the company grants it.
  • Data room documents are served through permissioned, expiring links, with access recorded.
  • Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; Perseids does not store card details and does not hold customer funds.
  • AI features read data to explain and propose. They never write to the authoritative ownership record.

Current limitations

  • Perseids does not file documents with company registries on your behalf.
  • Perseids does not provide legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, and its educational content is not advice.
  • Perseids does not operate a public marketplace or order book for private shares; secondary activity is company-controlled and private.
  • Perseids does not calculate payroll or tax withholding on option exercises.
  • Multi-currency reporting across a single cap table is not supported; a company records in one currency.

Frequently asked questions

Can Perseids manage an option pool?
Yes. Perseids creates and tracks option pools, individual grants, vesting schedules, exercises and cancellations, and reflects unissued pool shares in fully diluted ownership.
Can Perseids model startup dilution?
Yes. Dilution is modelled deterministically from the live cap table, including new money, pool top-ups and converting instruments.
Can Perseids model funding rounds?
Yes. You can model a priced round with pre-money or post-money valuation, an option pool increase, and SAFE or convertible note conversion, and compare the resulting ownership against today's position.
Can Perseids manage investor data rooms?
Yes. Data rooms support folder structure, per-recipient permissions, NDA gating, watermarking and access logs, and sit beside the cap table they relate to.
Does Perseids support investors?
Yes. Investors get their own workspace with connected positions across a private portfolio, shown with the provenance of each figure and only where the company has granted access.
Does Perseids support multiple currencies?
Subscriptions are billed in GBP, USD or EUR. A company's cap table is recorded in a single chosen currency; Perseids does not convert between currencies for reporting.
How is Perseids different from spreadsheets?
A spreadsheet stores a snapshot that anyone can overwrite. Perseids stores transactions on an append-only ledger, derives every ownership figure from them, keeps an audit trail, and enforces who may see what.
How much does Perseids cost?
There is a free Founder plan. Paid company plans start at EUR 39 per month, investor plans at EUR 99 per month, and Enterprise is quoted individually. Prices are published in GBP, USD and EUR on the pricing page and exclude applicable tax.
